In the Paarl Royals’ most recent match, they faced the Joburg Super Kings, where they won the toss and opted to bowl first. Despite not being able to take any early wickets, the Royals were able to put pressure on the Super Kings and keep their run-scoring in check. With only three wickets being taken, the Super Kings were able to score a respectable 168 runs in their 20 overs.
The Royals started similarly slowly but were able to pick up the pace, with Lubbe scoring a half-century and Vilas missing out on a half-century by only 8 runs. This allowed Paarl to chase down the 168 runs in the 19th over, giving them their 5th win of the tournament and keeping them in first place on the table.
DURBAN SUPER GIANTS
The Super Giants most recent game saw them face Mi Cape Town, where they lost the toss and had to bat first. A solid innings from Breetzke, scoring 48 runs, held the Super Giants innings together and Mulder, who scored 38 runs in quick time got the Super Giants to 157/6.
They managed to maintain momentum in the bowling department, with both Ahmad and Stoinis putting in three-wicket performances. This prevented Cape Town from putting runs on the board and they ended on 121/9. This gave the Super Giants their fourth win of the tournament, putting them in second place on the table.

The last time these two sides faced each other was in last year’s tournament, where the Paarl Royals managed to secure a 10-run victory.
