We take a look at the first match of the Saturday double-header in the SA20 with the Joburg Super Kings Taking on Mi Cape Town at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
There is very little to choose between the teams in the Outright Betting in the early stages of the competition and as things stand the Joburg Super Kings are joint favourites at 4/1 while Mi Cape Town are just behind in the betting at 9/2.

JOBURG SUPER KINGS
The Joburg Super Kings first game away to the Sunrisers Eastern Cape was unfortunately abandoned without a ball being bowled.
Looking back to last season they had finished a comfortable 2nd on the log behind the Pretoria Capitals but lost a high scoring semi-final against the Sunrisers at Centurion Park.
The squad looks to have a nice mix to it with experienced Faf du Plessis and Reeza Hendriks at the top of the order and I am really excited about the bowling line-up with tearaway quicks Coetzee and Burger as well as a strong spin hand in Tahir and Phangiso.
MI CAPE TOWN
Mi Cape Town finished bottom of the table last season and it certainly looked as though they were going to get their 2024 campaign off to a flying start on Thursday night when they scored 207 for 5 in their 20 overs in Durban against the Super Giants.
Ryan Rickelton was superb at the top of the order with 87 off 51 balls and when Kagiso Rabada grabbed an early wicket on the way to 2 for 23 off his 3 overs it appeared as though the game was done and dusted. The Super Giants had other ideas and Heinrich Klaasen scored 85 off just 35 balls and when rain intervened with 3.3 overs left it was the Super Giants who came out winners by 11 runs on the DLS Method.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides met twice last season with Mi Cape Town winning a low scoring encounter by 7 wickets at home, but the Super Kings got revenge at the Wanderers scoring 189 for 6 in their 20 overs before bowling Mi Cape Town out for just 113.

Joburg Super Kings 10/11
Mi Cape Town 19/20
Suggested Bet: Joburg Super Kings win at 10/11
Mi Cape Town will certainly have benefitted from getting a game under their belts, but I like the look of this Joburg Super Kings team and think they can kick off their campaign with a victory.
Suggested Bet: Top Super Kings Batter, Leus du Plooy at 3/1
Du Plooy scored 81 off just 48 balls in this fixture last season and he was one of the unsung heroes of the T20 finishing 7th on the run chart despite only having 8 innings, comfortably less than most of the players above him.
