The Durban Super Giants are the 5/2 favourites to win the competition with the Pretoria Capitals now 7/1.
DURBAN SUPER GIANTS
The Durban Super Giants have had a perfect start to the season, and they have a 100% record after 3 matches. Their most recent game saw them beat the Joburg Super Kings at Kingsmead where the Super Giants won the toss an elected to bat first. They started off slowly and were 34-4 but step up Heinrich Klaasen who put in a solid shift with the bat in hand, scoring 64 runs off 41 balls and playing a massive roll in the 145/8 total produced by the Super Giants in their 20 overs.
The Super Giants took to the field with captain Keshav Maharaj leading from the front and picking up the first 2 wickets of the innings, leaving the Super Kings under some pressure. The wickets kept falling at a frequent rate throughout the rest of the innings and after 20 overs the Super Kings could only reach 108/9, falling short by 37 runs. Top bowler was Reece Topley who picked up 3 wickets for 19 runs in his 4 overs.
PRETORIA CAPITALS
After topping the log and finishing runners-up last season, the Pretoria Capitals have been on a downward trajectory in this campaign so far, losing both of their opening matches to the Paarl Royals. They took on the Royals for the second time on Sunday afternoon in Centurion, where they won the toss and sent the Royals in to bat first. After picking up an early wicket, the Capitals let their opponents off the hook only picking up 3 wickets in the 20 overs while conceding 210 runs. Top bowler for the home side was Adil Rashid who took 1 wicket in his 4 overs at an economy rate of 7.75 runs an over.
The Capitals were in big trouble early on, losing 2 wickets in the first over and only scoring 4 runs. A big partnership between Rossouw and Jacks then turned things around for the Capitals and they were well on track for the win, however after the loss of both these batsmen in quick succession the rest of the line-up could not chase down the total, resulting in a 10-run loss for the Capitals. Top batsman was Rilee Rossouw who picked up 82 runs off 45 balls.
HEAD TO HEAD
The Capitals easily won the first of their fixtures against the Super Giants last year, after bowling them out for just 80 runs in Durban and chasing it down in less than 8 overs. The second fixture last season however went the way of the Super Giants after they put up a massive total of 254/4 and bowled the Capitals out for 103 runs at Centurion, winning the match by 151 runs.

Pretoria Capitals 11/10
Durban Super Giants 8/11
Suggested Bet: Rilee Rossouw to score 50 – yes at 11/4
Rossouw has been an integral part of the Capitals line-up and after his performance last match where he scored 82 runs, looking comfortable at the crease I like my chances of landing this bet.
Suggested Bet: Top Durban Super Giants Bowler – Keshav Maharaj at 29/10
Maharaj really set the tone in their game against the Super Kings, and I believe that he will pick up wickets once again in this match as the Capitals try and go after him.
