Pakistan and Bangladesh meet in a potentially crucial Super 12, Group 2 T20 World Cup match in Adelaide on Sunday. We take a look at the game from a betting angle.
THE LOG
Both these sides sit on 4 points behind South Africa on 5 and India on 6. This is probably a game to be careful betting on as by the time this match starts both of these sides will know whether the winner will progress to the final 4 or as is more likely the case, South Africa have beaten the Netherlands to secure their spot.
PAKISTAN
If Pakistan fail to make the final 4 they will look back to that opening match against India where it all went wrong. They looked to be cruising to victory at one point, but lost the game by 4 wickets on the final ball. They then edged Zimbabwe by 1 run in a tense, low scoring encounter before beating the Netherlands by 6 wickets with just over 6 overs remaining.
Pakistan kept their hopes alive with a 33 run win against South Africa in a rain shortened match. Having won the toss and chose to bat Pakistan scored 185 for 9 with Shadab Khan scoring a whirlwind 52 off 22 balls near the end of the innings and he was ably supported by Iftikhar Ahmed with 51 off 35. The rain then intervened and Pakistan managed to hold South Africa to 108 for 9 off 14 overs with Shaheen Afridi once again spectacular with 3 for 14 off his 3 overs and he was ably supported by Khan with 2 for 16 and Wasim Mohammad with 1 for 13.
BANGLADESH
Bangladesh began their Super 12 campaign with a 9 run victory over the Netherlands, but they were then hammered by 104 runs by South Africa. They kept their hopes alive with a 3 run victory over Zimbabwe in an exciting match before going down by 5 runs against India in a rain shortened game last time out.
Bangladesh won the toss and sent India into bat and the Indians ended up with 184 for 6 off their 20 overs and for Bangladesh it was Hasan Mahmud with 3 for 47 off 4 overs and Shakib Al Hasan with 2 for 33 off his 4 overs that were the pick of the bowlers. Bangladesh then scored 145 for 6 in their 16 overs having needed a 150 to win with Liton Das by far away the best batsman with 60 off 27 balls.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides have met 17 times in T20 International cricket with Pakistan winning 15 to Bangladesh’s 2.

Suggested Bet: Overs 0-6, Bangladesh Total under 40.5 at 10/11
This Pakistan bowling line-up has looked impressive the whole Tournament and they are going to be very hard to get away in the early stages.
Suggested Bet: Babar Azam, Total Performance over 33.5 at 17/20
It hasn’t been Babar Azam’s Tournament, but I am backing him to finish strong. In this market you get 1 point per run, 20 points per wicket and 10 points per catch as well as 25 points per stumping if you are the wicket keeper.
