The Joburg Super Kings take on the Paarl Royals at the Wanderers Stadium on Friday and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.
The Joburg Super Kings currently sit 4th on the log, 1 point behind the Paarl Royals in 3rd, but having played a game less. By the time this game starts it is possible that MI Cape Town could have moved above 1 or even both of these sides on the log.
The Joburg Super Kings are currently 5/1 to win the Tournament with the Paarl Royals priced at 7/2.

JOBURG SUPER KINGS
The Joburg Super Kings last match was an impressive 8 wicket victory over the Durban Super Giants at the Wanderers. They won the toss and sent the visitors into bat and when the Super Giants scored a 178 for 6, the bookies had the Durban team as clear favourites. Gerald Coetzee was the stand-out bowler with 3 for 21 off 3 overs with Theekshana getting 3 for 30 off his 4.
The Super Kings got off to a slightly slow start, but Faf du Plessis kicked into gear with the innings of the Tournament so far, 113 not out off 58 balls to lead his side to victory in the 20th over.
PAARL ROYALS
The Paarl Royals last match was at the St George’s Park Oval in Gqeberha where they took on the Sunrisers Eastern Cape. The home team won the toss and decided to bat first and the Paarl Royals restricted them to a 130 for 7 off their 20 overs with Phehlukwayo with 2 for 26 and Jones 2 for 27 the pick of the bowlers. Ngidi an economical 1 for 21 off 4 overs also played a part in keeping the score down.
The Royals then knocked off the runs with just over an over to spare and with 5 wickets in hand. Jos Buttler scored 51 off 39 and David Miller finished the innings in typical style with 37 not out off 23 balls.

Joburg Super Kings 1/1
Paarl Royals 17/20
Suggested Bet: Joburg Super Kings win at 1/1
The Super Kings may not have the most star studded line-up on paper, but they have started to show signs that they are gelling well as a team and there is no doubt that in Faf du Plessis they have a man who thrives under pressure. The Paarl Royals have for my money have been misfiring most of the season and with a couple of their players potentially weary after the 3 match ODI Series against South Africa I am going to go for the Joburg Super Kings to win this one.
Suggested Bet: Most 6’s, Joburg Super Kings at 29/20
Both teams have plenty of players who can clear the fence and I have a feeling that the bookmakers are under-estimating the Super Kings here.
