SUNRISERS HYDERABAD
The Sunrisers Hyderabad finished in 2nd place on the log, and they took on the Kolkata Knight Riders in the first qualifier match that took place on Tuesday the 21st of May, and a win in this game would have guaranteed a spot in the Final.
The action kicked off with the Sunrisers electing to bat first after winning the toss, and this looked like a mistake after they lost 4 wickets in the powerplay although they were going at a decent rate still. They then stabilised slightly but never got big partnerships going, resulting in them being bowled out for 159 runs. Top batsman was Rahul Tripathi who scored 55 off 35 balls.
The Sunrisers then struggled with ball in hand and although they managed to pick up 2 relatively early wickets, they allowed their opponents to score at a very fast rate and the match was done before the end of the 14th over, with the Sunrisers losing by 8 wickets. Top bowler was T Natarajan who took 1 wicket for 22 runs in his 3 over spell.
RAJASTHAN ROYALS
The Rajasthan Royals finished in 3rd place on the table and took on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the eliminator match played on Wednesday the 22nd of May in Ahmedabad.
The match began with the Royals winning the toss and electing to field first, where they struggled initially but then dismissed multiple key batsmen in quick succession, slowing their opponent’s rate and restricting them to a a total of 172/8. Top bowler was once again Avesh Khan who took 3 wickets for 44 runs in 4 overs.
They then looked comfortable with the bat in hand and although they lost wickets along the way they managed to bat at a good rate and chase down the total in the end with an over to spare, winning the match by 4 wickets. Top batsman was Yashasvi Jaiswal who scored 45 runs off 30 balls.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides met once this year around, in the 50th match of the season that was played in Hyderabad. The match saw the Sunrisers reach a total of 201/3, which the Royals were unable to chase down although it was a nailbiter, resulting in a 1-run win for the Sunrisers.

Sunrisers Hyderabad 1.85
Rajasthan Royals 1.95
Suggested Bet: Sunrisers Hyderabad to win at 1.85
These sides look well matched but I think the Sunrisers have been the better team in recent weeks and fancy them to set up a rematch with KKR in the final.

Suggested Bet: Man of The Match – Travis Head at 7.75
Head will be looking to bounce back from a poor showing against KKR and I am backing him to do just that. He has scored 533 runs at an incredible striker rate of 199.62 and if he comes good it could be race over for the Royals bowlers.
