Match 8 of IPL 2024 takes place in Hyderabad on Wednesday with the Sunrisers hosting the Mumbai Indians.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad have drifted to 12/1 in the Outright Betting after losing their opening match and the Mumbai Indians have gone out slightly from 33/10 to 7/2 joint favourites to win the Tournament, after they also went down in their opener.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad opening game was against the Kolkata Knight Riders in Eden Gardens. They won the toss and elected to field first and after having their opponents in trouble at one stage, they let them off the hook with KKR scoring 208 for 7 in their 20 overs. Natarajan was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 32 in his 4 overs.
The Sunrisers made a solid start, but were always behind the run rate and an excellent 63 off 29 balls from Klaasen eventually got them 204 for 7 for a 4 run loss.
The Mumbai Indians played the Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad and they won the toss and elected to field. They restricted their opponents to 168 for 6 with Bumrah picking up 3 for 14 in his 4 overs and a good contribution from South African, Gerald Coetzee with 2 for 27 in his spell.
The Mumbai Indians looked to be heading to victory, but their middle order failed to fire and they ended up on 162 for 9 losing by 6 runs. South African, Dewald Brevis was top scorer with 46 off 38 balls.
