Rilee Rossouw provided some resistance with a quickfire 61 off 27 balls, but it wasn’t enough to overhaul the target. Mohammed Siraj was impressive with the ball for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, picking up 3 wickets for 43 runs in his 4 overs.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s comprehensive victory not only kept alive their hopes in the tournament but also ended Punjab Kings’ chances of making it to the playoffs. Virat Kohli’s outstanding performance rightfully earned him the Player of the Match award further adding to his legendary status.
In the IPL Match 56 held at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on 7th May 2024 the Delhi Capitals emerged victorious against Rajasthan Royals by 20 runs in an exciting encounter.
Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to field first. Delhi Capitals posted a competitive total of 221/8 in their 20 overs, with Abhishek Porel being the top scorer, contributing a brisk 65 runs off 36 balls.
In response, Rajasthan Royals put up a spirited chase but fell short, managing 201/8 in their 20 overs. The Delhi Capitals’ bowlers, led by Kuldeep Yadav who claimed 2 wickets for 25 runs in his 4 overs, ensured their team defended the total successfully.
Kuldeep Yadav’s impactful bowling performance earned him the Player of the Match award for his contribution to Delhi Capitals’ win.
