They put on early pressure with the ball in hand dismissing 2 batsmen in the powerplay but thereafter the struggled to take more wickets and restrict the batsmen, with the Royals reaching a respectable total of 196/3. Top bowler was Rishad Kahn who took 1 wicket for 18 runs in his spell.
The Titans looked good in the second innings, however in the 9th over things turned and they lost 3 quick wickets. In the end they stabilised and chased down the total, winning the match by 3 wickets on the last ball of the innings. Top batsman was captain Shubman Gill who scored 72 runs off of 44 deliveries.
Delhi Capitals took on the Lucknow Super Giants in their last match that took place in Lucknow, where the Super Giants elected to bat first. The Capitals put up a strong performance with the ball in hand, picking up 5 wickets before the 10 over mark with the score only on 77. They let things slip later in the innings and the Super Giants posted a total of 167/7. Top bowler was Kuldeep Yadav who took 3 wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs.
The Capitals then looked comfortable with the bat in hand and although they lost a few wickets they got on top of the run rate and ended up winning the match by 6 wickets with 11 balls remaining. Top batsman was Jake Fraser-McGurk who scored 55 runs off 35 balls.
