The Super Kings did well with bat, building partnerships, which allowed them to cruise to victory with 8 balls remaining in the match, ending on 176/4 with Rachin Ravindra top-scoring on 37 runs off 15 balls.
The Gujarat Titans went head-to-head with the Mumbai Indians on Sunday when they played their first match of the season at Ahmedabad, with the Mumbai Indians winning the toss and choosing to field first. The Titans had a good start with bat in hand but late wickets restricted them to a total of 168/6 after 20 overs. Top batsman was Sai Sudharsan who scored 45 off 39 balls.
They started well in the field, taking an early wicket and maintaining pressure throughout the innings eventually winning the match by 6 runs with the Mumbai Indians putting up a total of 162/9. Top bowler was Spencer Johnson who took 2 wickets for 25 runs.
