England, South Africa, United States and the West Indies make up Group 2.
This game will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua.
The United States finished the group stages 2nd in Group A on 5 points with 2 wins, 1 loss and 1 no result game in their 4 matches.
Their 2 wins in their group came against Canada where they won by 7 wickets and against Pakistan where they won in the Super Over. In their 3rd match India beat them by 7 wickets. Unfortunately, their 4th and final group match against Ireland was abandoned.
South Africa topped Group D on 8 points, 2 points ahead of 2nd place, Bangladesh. They won all their 4 matches, which were low scoring, in the group stages, by 6 wickets against Sri Lanka then by 4 wickets when they played the Netherlands. United States 42/10
South Africa 2/13
South Africa are firm favourites here but I suspect this match could be closer than the betting suggests. I won’t get involved in the outright markets and will look at the other options on offer.
Suggested Bet: Top SA batter Markram at 29/10
The skipper has been in awful touch but for that matter very few players in the side have scored runs. He remains a class player in my book and can bounce back here.

THURSDAY
ENGLAND v WEST INDIES
The second match in the Super 8 round will be between England and the West Indies and the venue will be the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground, Gros Islet in St Lucia.
In the group stages England finished on 5 points, 2nd behind Group B leader’s Australia. Their first match against Scotland ended in a no result due to rain. In their next match saw Australia batting first setting a total of 201 for 7 in their 20 overs, but England could only manage to reach 165 for 6 in their 20 overs resulting in Australia winning by 36 runs. Their final group match was against Namibia where they won by 41 runs according to the DLS method.
The West Indies won all 4 of their Group C matches topping the group on 8 points. In their opener against Papua New Guinea they won by 5 wickets, their second game was a hammering of Uganda where they won by 134 runs with bowler, Akeal Hosein taking 5 wickets for 11 runs and receiving the Player of the Match award.
In the match against New Zealand they set a target of 149 for 9 in their 20 overs, but the Black Caps could only deliver 136 for 9 in their 20 overs resulting in the Windies winning by 13 runs. Their final group match saw them posting 218 for 5 in 20 overs against Afghanistan who were all out for 114 in 16.2 overs.

England 15/20
West Indies 1/1
Suggested Bet: West Indies win at 1/1
England scraped through to the Super 8s but I am not convinced they should be favourites against a West Indies team playing very well at the moment.
