The most recent T20 match between these sides was held on Sunday the 10th of November in Gqeberha. The match started off with South Africa winning the toss and sending India in to bat first. India’s batting line-up crumbled from the get-go and by the end of the 4th over they were already 3 wickets down with only 15 runs on the board.
The Proteas bowling attack then continued to fire at the batsmen, claiming wickets at regular intervals while restricting the Indian side to a very low run rate.
When the 20 overs came to an end India sat on total of 124/6 with top batsman being Hardik Pandya scoring 39 off 45 deliveries.
On the South African end, it was an even split of wickets with 5 bowlers picking up 1 wicket with Aiden Markram the most economical going for 4 runs in 1 over.
South Africa also battled to get going right from the start and after nearly 8 overs they were on 44-3. They continued to struggle dropping to 66-3 in the 13th over.
Tristan Stubbs played a huge role in bringing the Proteas to victory, scoring 47 runs off 41 balls and he was well supported by Gerald Coetzee with an unbeaten 19 off 9 balls. The Proteas on by 3 wickets with 6 balls remaining.
For the Indian side, Varun Chakravarthy once again had a big performance, taking 5 wickets for 17 runs in his 4 over spell.

He led the team to victory in the 2nd T20 and is the sort of player who can be very hard to stop when his confidence is eye. Given struggles of those above him in the order he is likely to get plenty of time at the crease.

He has been dangerous with ball in hand and he was the only one to really trouble the South African batsmen in the 2nd T20 and my money is on him to once again due damage.
