India and South Africa meet in the 4th T20 in Lucknow on Wednesday, December 17th and we take a look at the match from a betting angle.
India have taken a 2-1 lead in what has been a series with wild form fluctuations.
RECAP
India won the 1st T20 by 101 runs in Cuttack and South Africa bounced back with a convincing 51 run victory in New Chandigarh to level the series. In the 3rd T20 in Dharamsala on Sunday, South Africa were bundled out for 117 runs after been sent into bat. Five of the top six failed to make it to double figures and it was only Captain, Markram who stood tall with 61 off 46 balls and for India the wickets were spread with 4 bowlers picking up 2 sticks and there were particularly impressive spells from Arshdeep Singh with 2 for 13 off 4 overs and Varun Chakravarthy with 2 for 11 off his 4 overs.
India knocked-up the winning runs in the 16th over with just 3 wickets down. Abhishek Sharma topped scored with the bat at the top of the order with 35 runs off 18 balls. Lungi Ngidi and Corbin Bosch were the standout South African bowlers. Ngidi returned figures of 1 for 23 from 3 overs at an economy rate of 7.66, while Bosch was even more economical, finishing with 1 for 18 from his 3 overs at 6.00 runs per over.

India 1.36
South Africa 3.25
VERDICT
The South African team had been consistent in the Test arena, but in the ODI’s and T20’s they have mixed some excellent performances with plenty of very poor ones. Given the inconsistencies it is tempting to take the 3.25 about a South African win, but they have been on the road for a long time now and I am rather going to look to some of the other markets on offer.
BET: South Africa Top Wicket Taken, Lungi Ngidi at 4.75
Ngidi continues to bowl well and for me he was the pick of the South African attack in the 3rd T20. He has delivered strong performances in this series to date and looks well priced to be top wicket taker for his team.
BET: Top Indian Batsman, Abhishek Sharma at 4.00
In T20 cricket I like my Top Batsman pick to be guaranteed time at the crease, and given he opens the batting, which is guaranteed for Sharma. He has looked good in the series but in particular in the 3rd T20 and I fancy him to kick on with another big score.
