The 5th Test between India and England starts on Thursday, 7th March at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala and we take a look at the match from a betting angle.
This test is a dead rubber after India took the 4th test (their 3rd in a row) for a 31 series lead.
4th Test
The fourth test began with England winning the toss and opting to bat first. Despite a relatively slow start to the innings, England’s middle order consolidated, mainly due to Root’s impressive 122-run performance, followed by Robinson securing his half-century. However, Jadeja managed take four wickets, leading to England being bowled out for 353 runs in the 105th over.
Although India lost an early wicket, Jaiswal delivered a solid opening performance, scoring 73 runs for his team. This was later followed by a notable 90-run effort from Jurel. England then put an end to India’s scoring, bowling them out in the 104th over for 307 runs, with Bashir making the biggest contribution by taking 5 wickets.
England started their second innings decently, with Crawley reaching a half-century. However, they failed to maintain momentum, largely due to Ashwin’s impressive performance, taking 5 wickets in only 15 overs. This resulted in England scoring only 145 runs in their second innings, setting India a target of 192 runs to win the match and the series.
India began their final innings strongly, with Sharma also reaching a half-century. Gill followed suit with another half-century, allowing India to comfortably chase the required 192 runs, losing only 5 wickets in the process. This victory gave India their third win of the series, securing them the series victory.

India 1.62
Draw 5.50
England 3.70
Suggested Bet: Shoaib Bashir to top the English bowling in the 1st innings at 2.70
In the last test, not only did Bashir manage to outperform the other English bowlers in the first innings with 5 wickets, but he also topped the bowling in the second innings by taking three wickets.
Suggested Bet: Yashasvi Jaiswal to score over 35.5 runs in the 1st innings at 1.85
With two solid performances in the last game, scoring 73 runs in the first innings and 37 runs in the second innings, Jaiswal has demonstrated his consistency and I am backing him to go well again.
