INDIA
India had victories in all nine group-stage matches, placing them at the top of the table and securing a well-earned spot in the semifinals.
Facing New Zealand in the semifinals, India won the toss and chose to bat. The team demonstrated strength from the start, losing their first wicket with 71 runs on the board in the 9th over. Impressive centuries from Kohli and Iyer contributed to India posting a formidable total of 397 runs in 50 overs, losing only four wickets.
After the break, India maintained momentum by taking two wickets in the first ten overs while keeping the run rate down. Despite a brief loss of momentum as New Zealand applied pressure through Williamson and Mitchell, Mohammed Shami’s outstanding performance, taking seven wickets in his 10 overs, turned the tide. New Zealand was bowled out in the last over for 327 runs, securing a crucial win for India and propelling them into the finals as firm favourites.

AUSTRALIA
In the group stages, Australia secured seven victories in nine games, earning them third place on the table and a spot in the semifinals.
In their semifinal match against South Africa, Australia lost the toss and had to bowl first in overcast conditions. They started strongly, taking four crucial wickets with the Proteas having scored only 24 runs. The pace slowed down a bit as South Africa accumulated a few more runs, but then wickets began to fall again. Starc and Cummins both contributed with three wickets each, bowling out South Africa for 212 runs in the last over.
Australia had a decent start in their reply, losing their first wicket after putting 60 runs on the board. Travis Head made another significant contribution, scoring a half-century for the side. Despite losing a few more wickets along the way, Australia successfully chased South Africa’s total in the 47th over with three wickets to spare.

India 40/85
Australia 7/4
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These two teams have already met seven times this year, with India winning four matches and Australia claiming victory in the remaining three. The most recent encounter took place during the group stages of the World Cup, where India emerged victorious by 6 wickets.
Suggested Bet: Kohli to score a 50 at 19/20
Kohli has been in extremely good form in this World Cup, currently sitting as the top run-scorer in the tournament, with five fifties in the 10 games he has played. He has proved very profitable to follow.
Suggested Bet: India to be over 38.5 runs at the first dismissal at 17/20
Game after game, India’s openers have consistently demonstrated their capabilities by putting early runs on the board. I am backing them to set the tone with another solid opening stand.
