ENGLAND
England have had a disastrous World Cup campaign and they currently sit bottom of the table with just 1 win in their opening 6 games. Their last match was against hosts, India and they won the toss and elected to field first. They had India 3 down for 40 runs in the 12th over and appeared to be in with a good chance of victory when they restricted the hosts to 229 for 9. There were some excellent performances and stand out in terms of wickets was David Willey with his 3 for 45 in 10 overs and Woakes and Rashid each got 2 wickets apiece at an economic run rate.
England got off to a solid start before Dawid Malan went with the score on 30 in the 5th over, that triggered a collapse and England were eventually bowled out for a 129 with Liam Livingstone top scoring with 27 at a strike rate of 58.

AUSTRALIA
Australia are currently 3rd on the log with 4 wins and 2 losses in their opening 6 games. Their last match was against New Zealand where they lost the toss and were sent into bat. Australia put on an incredible 175 runs for the opening wicket before David Warner departed in the 20th over for 81 at a strike rate of 124. Travis Head his fellow opener top scored with 109 at a strike rate of 162 and virtually all of the Australian batsmen contributed to their total of 388 all out in the 50th over.
New Zealand made a good attempt at the run chase only losing by 5 runs and their final score was 383 for 9 after 50 overs. Adam Zampa was the top wicket taker with 3 for 74 off his 10 overs and Hazlewood and Cummins both got two wickets each.

England 13/10
Australia 8/13
Suggested Bet: Australia Top Bowler, Adam Zampa at 5/2
Zampa was a pre-Tournament pick of mine in the Top Bowler market and he is certainly travelling very well. He was amongst the wickets yet again against New Zealand. He is the sort of bowler that batting teams try to get after and this often opens up wicket taking opportunities.
Suggested Bet: England Top Batter, Harry Brook at 33/10
I am expecting Brook to come back into the side in an effort to try and salvage some pride for this English team. Brook is a talented player and I can see him doing great things in the future and the majority of those that would be batting around him are out of form.
Suggested Bet: The Australian Total at First Dismissal, over 33.5 runs at 17/20
Both Australian openers are looking in fine nick and that opening partnership against New Zealand was out of this world. I am going to back them to get off to another solid start.
