BANGLADESH
Bangladesh are 2nd from bottom on the table with only 1 win in 7 matches.
They recently took on Pakistan in Kolkata and Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first. Bangladesh lost 3 early wickets, putting themselves under immense pressure, thereafter the batsmen were able to stabilize a bit before being bowled out for 204 runs. The best batsman of the innings was Mahmudullah who scored 56 off 70 balls.
The Bangladesh bowlers then struggled with the ball in hand, only taking the first wicket after 128 runs were scored by Pakistan. Bangladesh managed to pick up a few wickets, but they were no match for the batting line-up who chased the total down, winning by 7 wickets with 105 balls remaining. The star bowler was Hasan Miraz who took all 3 wickets for 60 runs in his 9 over spell.
SRI LANKA
Sri Lanka have won 2 of 7 matches and are 7th on the log.
They went head-to-head with India in their last encounter in Mumbai. Sri Lanka won the toss and sent India in to bat first. Sri Lanka struck with an early wicket after just 4 runs had been scored, however, they struggled to take the next wicket and the Indians put on a 189 run partnership. At this point, the Indian total was looking good, but the Sri Lankans managed to take 8 wickets by the time India had ended the innings on 357 runs. The top bowler was Madushanka who picked up 5 wickets for 80 runs in his 10 overs.
Sri Lanka were terrible with the bat in hand, losing a wicket before a run was scored and thereafter crumbling, with no stability in their batting line-up whatsoever. They were quickly bowled out for a shocking total of just 55 runs, leaving India to win by 302 runs.

Bangladesh (31/20)
Sri Lanka (5/10)
HEAD-TO-HEAD
In the last 5 times these sides have met, Sri Lanka has won 3 with Bangladesh winning 2 of them. These sides met twice this year in the Asia Cup, where Sri Lanka won both matches.
Suggested Bet: Batsmen total 4s – Kusal Mendis over 3.5 at 14/10
Although Mendis has struggled to find his form with the bat in this tournament so far he remains a class act and I am looking for him to dig in for a big innings here.
Suggested Bet: Sri Lankan top bowler – Dilshan Madushanka at 85/40
Madushanka has been on good form this World Cup, making it hard to look past him as a top bowler pick..
