1st TEST MATCH
The 1st test began in Perth on the 22nd of November with India winning the toss and choosing to bat first.
India bundled out for 150
The Indian batting line-up struggled from the start to take advantage of the Australian bowlers, who kept things tight, picking up wickets at a good rate. They could not get any solid partnerships going which led to them being bowled out for just 150 runs.
Nitish Kumar Reddy topped the batting figures with a total of 41 runs off 59 balls and for the Australian’s their top bowler was Josh Hazlewood who took 4 wickets for 29 runs in 13 overs at an economy rate of 2.23 runs an over.
Australia barely reach 3 figures
Australia then picked up the bat in an attempt to take the initiative, however, they were unsuccessful and despite them batting for longer than the Indian side, they were dismissed for a woeful 104 runs.
Bottom of the order batsman Mitchell Starc claimed top form scoring 26 runs off 112 deliveries. For India, Jasprit Bumrah took a 5-wicket haul for 30 runs in his 18 over spell.
India pile on the runs
India then took to the pitch for the second time, where things went more smoothly and they managed to create an opening partnership of 201 runs, wickets then gradually fell throughout the innings, but they cruised to a total of 487/6 before declaring.
The top scorer for India was opener Yashasvi Jaiswal who scored 161 runs off 297 deliveries, on the Australian side, Nathan Lyon claimed top bowler taking 2 wickets for 96 runs in 39 overs.
Top order collapse
Australia knew, going into their final innings, that they had a ton of work to do and after losing 4 early wickets while on just 17 runs, the total looked impossible to reach. This was the case and as the innings continued, wickets kept on tumbling despite Australia being able to stabilise slightly during certain periods of the chase. This eventually resulted in the Aussies being bundled out for just 238 runs and led to a 295 run Indian win.
Travis Head was the best with bat in hand, scoring 89 off 101 balls and the second innings star bowler for India was none other than Bumrah, who took 3 wickets this time for 42 runs in his 12 overs.

Australia 1.90
Draw 13.00
India 2.30
This test will be a day-nighter and the pink ball will be used.
Suggested Bet: Top Indian Bowler – Jasprit Bumrah at 2.30
He is an absolute class act and is able to adapt to different wickets. He is a strong favourite in this market but I think the short price is more than justified and I expect him to get the pink ball to move around.
Suggested Bet: 1st Innings – Travis Head to Score 50+ at 2.75
He had a good knock in the second innings last time out and I think he will come into this match feeling more comfortable facing the Indian bowling line-up after seeing out over 100 balls to score his 89 runs. With most of the top order struggling I am backing him to dig in for another 50.
