The 3rd ODI between Afghanistan and South Africa is scheduled to take place on Sunday the 22nd of September at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the UAE, we will look at the match from a betting point of view.
Afghanistan have picked up 2 of the 3 wins so far, resulting in them winning the series with 1 match still to play, therefore Outright Betting Markets are no longer available.
2nd ODI
The 2nd ODI began with Afghanistan winning the toss and electing to bat first, where they were able to maintain stable partnerships throughout their innings reaching a solid total of 311/4 after their 50 overs. Top batsman was Rahmanullah Gurbaz who scored a century, ending on 105 runs off 110 deliveries, and he was well accompanied by the likes of Azmatullah Omarzai who scored 86 not out off 50 balls, at a striker rate of 172.00.
For South African 4 bowlers each took a single wicket, but it was Aiden Markram who finished on top of the bowling charts, taking 1 wicket for 20 runs in 4 overs at an economy rate of 5.00.
South Africa then took to the crease in an attempt to chase down the target and level the 3-match series. They made a solid start but when their first wicket dropped on 73 runs they began to crumble, with wickets falling rapidly and it was not long until they were all out for just 134 runs, losing the match by 177 runs.
Top Proteas batsman was captain Temba Bavuma who scored 38 runs off 47 balls but the rest of the line-up failed to fire, with last 7 of the 11 batsmen not even reaching over 10 runs. The Afghanistan bowling attack was sharp on the day and their top bowler was Rashid Khan who took 5 wickets for 19 runs in his 9 over spell.

Afghanistan 2.10
South Africa 1.80
Suggested Bet: Rahmanullah Gurbaz to Score 50 – Yes at 3.40
I believe that after such a powerful performance to bring up his century in the last encounter, Gurbaz will have felt out the South African bowlers and will feel confident of dishing out more pain.
Suggested Bet: Afghanistan win at 2.10
There is no evidence they should be underdogs here and although this is a big rubber they would love to secure the whitewash.
