Their first match was against Sri Lanka who won the toss and elected to bowl first. Phil Salt top scored with 62 runs off 40 balls, which included 6 fours and 2 sixes, to anchor England’ s innings. The rest of the batsmen struggled at times with Will Jacks scoring a useful 21 runs, the only other batsmen to get over 20. They reached a total of 146/9 in their 20 overs. They bowled Sri Lanka out for just 95 runs in 16.4 overs with Will Jacks topping the bowling taking 3 wickets for 22 runs in his 4 overs. England won by 51 runs.

England 1.78
New Zealand 2.05
England have already qualified for the semi-finals and New Zealand are very likely to make it through given their current run rate, although they won’ t want to take any chances.
SUGGESTED BETS
BET: Top New Zealand Wicket Taker Rachin Ravindra at 8.50
Ravindra has taken 6 wickets at an average of 11.50 and he is the sort of bowler England will be looking to get after and that opens up wicket taking opportunities.
BET: Team to score the most sixes, New Zealand at 2.25
Both of these sides have plenty of players who can clear the boundary, but I give New Zealand a slight edging in this department and I am happy to back them as underdogs.
BET: Player of the Match, Will Jacks at 14.00
Jacks has been superb in this Tournament winning this award on 3 occasions. He doesn’t always get time at the crease but can bat really quickly when he comes in and is capable of getting amongst the wickets and changing the game with the ball.
