England and New Zealand meet in the 2nd ODI of 4 in Southampton on Sunday and we suggest a couple of bets in the game.
The T20 Series between these sides finished 2-2 with New Zealand coming back to win the last two games.
1st ODI Wrap
Their 1st ODI took place in Cardiff on Friday and New Zealand won the toss and elected to field first. England scored 291 for 6 in their 50 overs with Jos Buttler scoring with 72 at a strike rate of 105 and there were also 50’s from Malan, Stokes and Livingston. Rachin Ravindra was the pick of the New Zealand bowlers getting 3 for 48 in his 10 overs.
New Zealand then made short work of what looked a challenging total getting 297 for 2 with 26 balls to spare. Devon Conway scored an unbeaten 111 at the top of the innings at a strike rate of 91 and Daryl Mitchell top scored with an unbeaten 118 off just 91 balls. There was little success for the England bowlers with Willey and Rashid getting the wickets although my pick for the most effective bowler was Woakes with his 0 for 27 off 7 overs.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides have now met 33 times with England winning 18, New Zealand 13 and 2 no results. 5 That victory by New Zealand broke a run of 5 successive English victories.

VERDICT
New Zealand carry serious momentum into this match and the nature of their run chase in Cardiff will have them confident that they can go 2-0 up in the Series.
I was expecting the betting to be quite a lot closer and on that basis I am happy to back New Zealand to make it 2-0 at current prices.
Suggested Bet: New Zealand win at 29/20
Harry Brook is a player that has really come into his own of late and he had a great time in the T20 Series. He opened the batting in Cardiff and if he gets another opportunity at the top of the order he will have plenty of time to build an innings.
Suggested Bet: Harry Brook to score 50, YES at 7/4
I am hoping Trent Boult starts on Sunday and if he does it should be a handful for the English batsmen.
Suggested Bet: Top New Zealand Bowler, Trent Boult at 7/4
