The Pretoria Capitals are the rank outsiders to win the tournament at 14/1 with the Sunrisers currently 3rd in the betting at 33/10.
CURRENT FORM
The Pretoria Capitals currently sit last on the log after winning 1 and losing 4 of their 5 matches, with the Sunrisers Eastern Cape 3rd on the log after winning 3 and losing 1 of their 4 matches.
These sides met in both side’s most recent game, where the match was held in Gqeberha at St George’s Park. The Sunrisers had the first say, winning the toss and sending the Capitals into bat.
The Capitals put up a poor effort with the bat in hand, losing 4 of their top-order batsmen within the powerplay, and the fall of wickets did not stop there however and a new batsman came to the crease frequently until the 13th over where the last Capitals wicket fell, leaving them on a total of 52 runs, the lowest ever seen in the SA20.
On the Sunriser’s end, the bowlers were on point with Ottniel Baartman picking up 4 wickets for just 12 runs in his 3.3 overs. He was well accompanied by the likes of Daniel Worrall who took 3 wickets for 22 runs in his 4 over spell.
The second innings was short and didn’t have room for much action. After the early fall of the first Sunrisers wicket, they were able to stabilise and chase down the total without another wicket falling and in 6.5 overs winning the match by 9 wickets and with 79 balls remaining.
Top batsman was Tom Abell who put up 31 runs off 22 balls. The Capitals bowlers and fielders had very little room for error and the only bowler to pick up a wicket was Wayne Parnell who took his 1 wicket for 19 runs in his 2 overs.
HEAD TO HEAD
In last years fixture between these 2 sides at Centurion Park, the Sunrisers elected to field first with the Capitals reaching a total of 216/6 in their 20 overs. The Sunrisers then failed to chase down the target, losing the match by 37 runs. Will Jacks was awarded player of the match after scoring 92 off 46 and taking 2 catches.

Pretoria Capitals 21/20
Sunrisers Eastern Cape 8/10
Suggested Bet: Will Jacks to score 50 – yes at 24/10
Although the Capitals haven’t been in particularly good form as of late, Jacks always plays a big role with the bat in hand, and I believe he will put in a big innings at his home ground this Thursday.
Suggested Bet: Sunrisers Eastern Cape Total Sixes – over 7.5 at 21/20
I believe that this will be a typical Centurion high scoring game and the big hitters of the Sunrisers side will come to the party with 8 or more sixes.
