SUNRISERS EASTERN CAPE
The Sunrisers Eastern Cape have turned their season around to qualify for the play-offs after a slow start , eventually qualifying in 3rd overall.
Their most recent match was played on Saturday the 1st of February at St George’s Park where they took on the Paarl Royals and won the toss, choosing to bat first.
They had a tough start to the match, losing early wickets as they have done often this season, but they were then able to stabilise and reach a total of 148/8. Star batsman was Jordan Hermann who scored 53 runs off 38 deliveries.
They then took to the field with intention and after a few stellar bowling performances they bowled the Royals out for 100 runs, winning the match by 48 runs with just less then 2 overs left.
Craig Overton took top bowling figures with his 3 wickets for 15 runs in 4 overs.
They played at this ground in Match 7 against the Capitals where they were bowled out for 113 and lost by 6 wickets.
JOBURG SUPER KINGS
The Joburg Super Kings had a wild run to the play-offs, struggling eventually finishing 5 points ahead of the Capitals to hold onto 4th spot.
Their most recent match was against Durban Super Giants on Saturday the 1st of February at the Wanderers where the match started with the Super Kings electing to field first.
They allowed the Super Giants to get off to a decent start before taking 3 wickets in quick succession and putting them under pressure, however, some decent partnerships got the visitors to a respectable total of 173/4. The best Super Kings bowler was Hardus Viljoen who took 2 wickets for 42 runs in his 4 over spell.
The Super Kings then battled to get going and hold onto their wickets and this paired with rain delays led to them falling 11 runs short in terms of DLS method.
The Super Kings player who scored the highest was Donovan Ferreira who scored a quick 51 runs off 22 balls.
Like their opponents JSK didn’t have a great experience at this ground playing the Capitals in Match 24 and losing by 6 wickets after getting restricted to 99/9 in their 20 overs.
HEAD TO HEAD
The Sunrisers beat the Super Kings by 14 runs in Gqeberha in Match 19 and in Match 22 JSK won by 9 wickets at the Wanderers.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape 2.05
Joburg Super Kings 1.83
Suggested Bet: Sunrisers Eastern Cape to win at 2.05
The Sunrisers Eastern Cape will need their top order to fire but overall I feel they have a touch more quality than the Super Kings and will back them to book their spot in the 2nd Play-off.
There are so many markets to choose from and there will also be in-running betting but for now I fancy the 2 plays below:
Suggested Bet: Sunrisers Top Bowler – Marco Jansen at 2.95
Jansen has been brilliant overall in this years SA20, taking a decent haul of wickets while batting well too. He is a player with solid big match temperament who can get his team over the line. Jansen is priced at 5.80 to be Player of the Match.
Suggested Bet: Total Batsman Sixes – Faf Du Plessis Over 0.5 at 1.70
In a match like this Du Plessis will take the responsibility on his shoulders as the captain and he usually banks his 1st maximum early in proceedings so hopefully this one will be pressure free.
