Paarl Royals host Pretoria Capitals at Boland Park, Paarl, on Saturday, 10 January 2026, with the match scheduled to start at 13:00. This is Match 19 of the SA20 League (Match 20 follows directly afterwards) and it carries significant weight for both sides as the tournament moves closer to the business end, with Paarl pushing for a top-two finish and Pretoria fighting to stay in the playoff positions.

Match 19 Preview
Paarl Royals come into Match 19 on the back of a rain-affected no result against Joburg Super Kings in Match 17 at the Wanderers. Before the weather intervened, Paarl had elected to field, with JSK scoring 187/6. Sikandar Raza again played a key role with the ball, returning 2/26 from four overs, but the Royals will be disappointed with a number of errors in the field.
That no result followed Paarl’s emphatic seven-wicket bonus-point win over MI Cape Town in Match 13, where they dismissed MICT for just 88, with Raza’s 4/13 setting up a straightforward chase. Paarl now sit on 15 points from five matches, having won three of their last four completed games.
Pretoria Capitals arrive in Paarl buoyed by a confidence-boosting win in Match 16 against Durban’s Super Giants at Kingsmead. Batting first, Pretoria posted 201/4, built around a superb unbeaten 118 off 69 balls from Shai Hope, who anchored the innings to lift the Capitals past the 200 mark.
With the ball, Pretoria defended the total effectively despite Jos Buttler’s 97*, eventually bowling DSG out for 186 to secure a 15-run victory. That result followed a heavy defeat to Sunrisers Eastern Cape in Match 14, where Pretoria were beaten by 10 wickets, highlighting the inconsistencies that have dogged them this season.
These two sides met earlier in the tournament at St George’s Park in Match 7, where Paarl Royals won by five wickets. On that occasion, Pretoria were restricted to 149, with Nqobani Mokoena taking 4/34, before David Miller’s unbeaten 71 guided Paarl home in a controlled chase.

Suggested Bets
- Top Paarl Royals Wicket Taker – Sikandar Raza at 4.50
Raza has been central to Paarl’s success, with figures of 4/13 and 2/26 in his last two completed matches. Against a Pretoria line-up that relies heavily on its top order, he is well poised to get stuck into the middle order. - Top Pretoria Capitals Batter – Shai Hope at 4.00
Hope’s unbeaten 118 in Match 16 was one of the standout innings of the tournament and showed his ability to control an innings. If Pretoria are to challenge Paarl at Boland Park, another substantial contribution from Hope is likely to be required as the rest of the top order are struggling for form. - Kyle Verreynne Under 16.5 runs at 1.87
Verreynne has been battling for form and depending on the match situation could be dropped down the order. I am looking for him to score no more than 16 runs with this bet.
