They took on Joburg Super Kings on Thursday night away from home where they lost the toss and were sent into bat.
They were striking well initially, scoring at a decent rate, however they quickly found themselves in trouble after losing some important wickets early. The back end of the line-up then managed to reach a total of 150/9. Top batsman was claimed by Dinesh Karthik who scored 53 runs off 39 deliveries.
The Paarl Royals bowlers then struggled to get going and in the end the match concluded in a 7-wicket loss for the Royals with 13 balls remaining.
Top bowler was Mujeeb Ur Rahman who took 1 wicket for 20 runs in his 3.5 overs.
