The Joburg Super Kings host The Pretoria Capitals at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Thursday in Match 10 of the SA20.

JOBURG SUPER KINGS
The Super Kings are off to a perfect start with two victories in their opening two games. They saw off MI Cape Town at home in their first match, winning by 6 runs on the DLS method and on Tuesday they started underdogs away to the Durban Super Giants, but won the game by 28 runs.
The Super Kings won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 169 for 7 in their 20 overs. Leus du Plooy was the pick of the batsmen with 38 off 32. They managed to keep the Super Giants under pressure from the start, bowling them out for a 141 with part-time spinner, Donovan Ferreira the pick of the bowlers with his 2 for 15 off 4 overs. Given how influential that spell was he can consider himself unlucky not to win Player of the Match which went to the Super Giants, Quinton de Kock.
PRETORIA CAPITALS
The Capitals sit 1 point and 1 position below the Super Kings on the table, but have played a game more, winning 1, losing 1 and also having a no-result in their three fixtures. They lost to the Super Giants away by 2 runs in their opener and in the rematch against the same opposition in Pretoria there wasn’t a ball bowled due to rain.
The Capitals then hosted the Sunrisers Eastern Cape on Tuesday and they won by 6 wickets. The Pretoria Capitals won the toss and chose to field, bowling the Sunrisers out for 113 with Dupavillon the top bowler with 3 for 32 off 4 overs. The Capitals made light work of the chase winning by 6 wickets with 4 overs in hand. Marques Ackerman was the top batsman with 39 not out off 30 balls. Eathan Bosch did the damage to the Sunrisers early though and was named Player of the Match.

The Super Kings are playing some great cricket, but the Capitals can claim likewise and I feel the bookmakers are underestimating the visitors here and I am going to go for a Capitals win.

It was great to see Gerald Coetzee back in action for the Super Kings in Durban and in horse racing terms I am sure he would have “come on with that run”. He is a wicket taker, who can be a real handful particularly at the Wanderers and I am going to back him to be top Joburg Super Kings bowler on the day.

Devon Conway played well in Durban and shows why he is an excellent addition to the Super Kings side. He is capable of working the ball around for runs, but also clearing the boundary and I am going to back him getting at least 1 six at the Wanderers.
