San Marino MotoGP Betting Preview 2025
MotoGP returns this weekend as we head to the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Italy for the San Marino Grand Prix. We look at this week’s race from a betting angle and try to beat the Márquez brothers.

Last weekend in Barcelona, Álex Márquez put in a brilliant ride to win from pole position, holding off brother Marc Márquez who had to settle for second. Enea Bastianini delivered Tech3 KTM’s best result of the season in third, while Pedro Acosta and Fabio Quartararo rounded out the top five. Defending champion Jorge Martín struggled again, only managing 10th.

Marc Márquez continues to dominate the standings with a commanding lead, and bookmakers have lost interest in this market. Behind him, Álex Márquez has been consistent, Bagnaia will look to bounce back strongly at his home GP, and Bastianini arrives with momentum after his Catalunya podium.

LAST YEAR’S RACE – 2024 San Marino GP
The 2024 edition at Misano was a Ducati whitewash as Marc Márquez took the win, ahead of Francesco Bagnaia in second and Enea Bastianini in third. Jorge Martín had won the sprint the day before but gambled on the wrong tyre strategy in the main race, dropping out of contention.

Characteristics: A stop-go style track with multiple heavy braking zones and fast right-handers. Misano usually rewards grip and stability on corner exit, with Ducati’s power and balance making them the team to beat here.
VERDICT
Marc Márquez remains the standout favourite, and it’s hard to look past him given his dominance this season and his victory here last year. However, Bagnaia will have huge home support at Misano and looks the most likely to challenge. Bastianini also goes well here and carries confidence from Catalunya.
