TRACK INFO – Mobility Resort Motegi
- Location: Tochigi Prefecture, Japan
- Length: 4.801 km (2.983 miles)
- Layout: 14 turns (8 right, 6 left)
- Race Distance: 24 laps (115.2 km total)
- Characteristics: Known as the “Twin Ring Motegi”, this stop-start circuit demands strong braking stability and acceleration. With heavy braking zones into tight corners, riders with good bike control under deceleration usually excel. Overtaking opportunities are frequent, but tyre management is critical over race distance. Ducati’s power advantage has typically been decisive here, although Honda has a proud history at its home GP.
VERDICT
Marc Márquez looks set to win yet another race this weekend, however, he did slip up three weeks ago when his brother Álex swooped in to claim victory. If there’s anyone who can capitalise again should Marc make a mistake, it’s Álex Márquez, who has shown excellent pace and consistency in recent rounds.
Suggested Bet: Álex Márquez to win at 17.00
