PREVIOUS RACE – Dutch MotoGP
Last week’s race saw Marc Márquez claim yet another victory as he continues to dominate this year’s World Championship. The Italian riders gave chase but ultimately fell short, with Marco Bezzecchi finishing second and Francesco Bagnaia rounding out the podium in third. Meanwhile, Álex Márquez failed to finish after crashing out of the race.
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP UPDATE
With the Márquez brothers continuing to dominate the World Championship, attention has turned to the “Winner Without Marc and Álex Márquez” betting market. Francesco Bagnaia currently leads that charge with 181 points and is the clear favourite, trading at 1.14.
Chasing him are a trio of Italians:
- Franco Morbidelli – 139 points (9.50)
- Fabio Di Giannantonio – 136 points (9.50)
- Marco Bezzecchi – 121 points (9.50)
Bagnaia’s consistency gives him the edge, but with several races still to come, the chasing pack may yet close the gap.

German MotoGP 2024
Last year’s race saw Francesco Bagnaia claim another impressive victory, finishing 3.8 seconds ahead of Marc Márquez. Álex Márquez secured third place to complete the podium, while Franco Morbidelli crossed the line in a solid fifth.

VERDICT
With Marc Márquez dominating once again in the last race, he enters this weekend as the clear favourite. That leaves limited value in backing him outright, making Álex Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia the most logical alternatives.
I’m siding with Bagnaia this weekend. He won this race last year and comes off a solid third-place finish in the previous round. It feels like only a matter of time before Marc has a race that doesn’t go to plan — and when that moment comes, Bagnaia is the most likely to capitalize and take the win.
