MotoGP returns for the second consecutive weekend, and this time the paddock heads to Balaton Park Circuit, a brand-new venue near Lake Balaton making its MotoGP debut. The 4.075 km track features 17 technical turns, tight braking zones, and limited overtaking opportunities, which should make for a fascinating tactical battle.
With Hungary returning to the calendar for the first time since 1992, all eyes will be on how the riders adapt to this fresh challenge. We’ll look at this week’s race from a betting perspective and highlight a potential play.
PREVIOUS RACE – Austrian MotoGP
For the sixth race in a row, Marc Márquez was unstoppable, taking yet another victory to extend his remarkable streak. Fellow Spaniard Fermín Aldeguer claimed second place, while Marco Bezzecchi rounded out the podium in third. It was a frustrating weekend for Francesco Bagnaia and Álex Márquez, who could only manage eighth and tenth respectively. South Africa’s Brad Binder had a steady run, crossing the line in seventh.
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP UPDATE
Marc Marquez continues to dominate this years Championship standings and is sitting on 418 points. Alex Marquez is on 276 points followed by Bagnaia on 221 points.

LAST YEARS RACE
MotoGP will return to Hungary for the first time since 1992, with the riders set to take on the unfamiliar Balaton Park Circuit in its MotoGP debut.
VERDICT
With the run of form Marc Márquez is on, it’s almost impossible to bet against him. However, with his odds shortening after so many consecutive wins, there’s little value in backing him outright. The added variable this week is the new and unfamiliar Balaton Park Circuit, where anything can happen. If Márquez does falter, an outsider like Marco Bezzecchi could capitalise. Bezzecchi finished third last weekend in Austria and will be eager to carry that momentum into this week’s historic race in Hungary.
Suggested Bet: Marco Bezzecchi to win at 13.00.
