How did you find out about World Sports Betting’s Spina Wina?
I have been a land-based slots player for almost 2 decades and I was no longer enjoying this experience. I love it. I can play from home when I want, how I want and I don’t have to worry about being bothered.
Do you believe that World Sports Betting has enough variety in games?
Absolutely, although like most players I found 3-5 games that I really liked and stuck to it, there are more than enough games online for me to chance when I need to. WSB has games that have similar special features to the traditional slots games so I have not felt like I missed out on anything by switching to online.
What about payouts?
I feel like the online games get more action and that results in more payouts. I realise that games have mathematical returns that they work on, but the more people play the game the more frequently it would pay out… I see that online. There are also games like Might of Ra and Sweet Bonanza that pay up to 20,000 and more your bet. I have not seen that in traditional casinos.
Lots of people talk about the benefits VIP players get at Casino properties. Do you feel like you have lost that by moving online?
Definitely not. For me the only freebies I ever used were coffee while playing and the occasional Free room. I was more interested in the access to the Prive cashiers than any other benefit.
At WSB I still get to book a hotel room and I can book it anywhere in SA. I get monthly Uber vouchers that I can use to order food and drinks like I would have in a casino and I can do it all while sitting at home. It’s a pleasure.
WSB’s Club Prive also rewards with monthly rebates. How have you found this?
I love it. I would say it is my favourite part of playing with them. It is a reward I get based on my turnover so I know they are not simply giving me back some of my own winnings. Win or lose, if I play, I get something back.
In the past, I always got a fixed amount based on the colour of my card. So players like me who went way over the minimum criteria for the card got the same amount as everyone else. Now it’s a tailored amount based on MY play. And I love that.
Last Question… You mention slots as your main game, do you ever try the live tables games or betting on sports?
I never did before however I have started enjoying the table games. In the old days, I found it rather intimidating to walk up to a casino table and try to play a game I was not too familiar with. Now that I can do it from home with no judgment and at my pace, I must say I am enjoying it. It is only occasional, but the change is fun.
I have started taking small sports bets on big events like the Rugby World Cup. I would never have thought myself to be a sports bettor but it’s so convenient to have it all in one place.
