The Group H World Cup group matches come to an end on Friday and we take a look at both games from a betting angle.
Let’s start with a look at the table where Portugal have qualified thanks to their two victories and are 3 points ahead of Ghana who have had 1 win. South Korea and Uruguay are each on a point and both still have a chance of progressing to the last 16.
Portugal are currently trading as 12/1 to win the World Cup with Ghana priced at 300/1 from this group.

GHANA v URUGUAY
GHANA
Ghana with a victory will ensure their spot in the last 16, but a draw would also most likely see them through. They opened their campaign with a thrilling 3-2 loss to Portugal and then blew a 2-0 lead against the Republic of Korea only to win a 3-2 thanks to a 68th minute goal which gave them just over 20 minutes to hold on for the 3 points.
URUGUAY
Uruguay have been disappointing and have yet to score a goal. They drew 0-0 with the Republic of Korea and then went down 2-0 to Portugal although they were in that game right until injury time when Portugal got a penalty.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides have met once and that was back in the World Cup 2010 when Uruguay won 2-1 on penalties in the knock-outs.

Ghana 15/4
Draw 28/10
Uruguay 15/20
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Ghana +0.5 goals at 11/10
I am surprised to see Ghana trading as such big underdogs in this game and am very tempted to go for them to win the match. After some deliberation I have decided to take the more conservative route that they either win or draw the game.

REPUBLIC OF KOREA v PORTUGAL
REPUBLIC OF KOREA
Korea need to win this game to stand any chance of progressing to the last 16. They opened their campaign with a goalless draw against Uruguay and they then played in a roller-coaster match against Ghana where they were eventually beaten 3-2. Most disappointing for them in that match was to go 2-0 down before half-time as they had looked much the better side in the earlier exchanges.
PORTUGAL
Portugal won their opening game against Ghana in what was one of the most exciting matches of the Tournament to date. They led 3-1 leading into the final minute when Ghana managed to grab a second goal which made for a very nervous finish. Portugal were too strong for Uruguay in the second round of matches winning 2-0 although they only finished the game off late on.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides met in the World Cup 2002 and it was the Republic of Korea who won 1-0.

Republic of Korea 4/1
Draw 33/10
Portugal 5/8
Suggested Bet: Republic of Korea win at 4/1
I am going to go for an upset here as I have actually been quite impressed by this Korean side who just haven’t had things run their way. Portugal are already through to the last 16 and that little bit of dropping intensity could be just enough for us to grab an upset win here.
