The second round of World Cup Group D matches takes place on Saturday and we take a look at both games from a betting angle.
France were the team that really impressed me in the first round of fixtures with a convincing 4-1 win over Australia and they have shortened into 13/2 joint second favourites to lift the Cup.
Looking at the Group Betting, France are into 1/6 favourites with Denmark 4/1 and you can get 20/1 Tunisia and 55/1 Australia.

TUNISIA v AUSTRALIA
TUNISIA
Tunisia played out a goalless draw against Denmark in their opening match and while that might have been a good result for them given they started 11/2 underdogs they will know that picking up all the points against Australia is a must.
AUSTRALIA
Australia shocked France when they took the lead in the 9th minute in their opening fixture, but the French bounced back to win convincingly 4-1. Australia have no choice, but to come out firing here and go for the victory.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides have only met once in competitive football and that was in the FIFA Federation Cup back in 2005 where Tunisia won 2-0.

Tunisia 23/20
Draw 23/10
Australia 26/10
Suggested Bet: Tunisia win at 23/20
I am going to keep this one fairly simple and back the African team to get the win here. While Australia did well to score an early goal against France their defence was shown up on many occasions and I think that while Tunisia don’t quite possess France’s attacking skill they could do enough to win the game.
FRANCE v DENMARK
France are top of the Group after their opening game and Denmark are 2 points behind them in 2nd.
FRANCE
The French had few problems seeing off Australia 4-1 although they were given that scare by the early Australian goal. Encouraging to the French was that 3 of their players got on the score sheet including a brace for Olivier Giroud who has shown that there are plenty of goals left in him yet.
DENMARK
Denmark started as 6/10 favourites to beat Tunisia so the draw was a disappointing result for them. It will be interesting to see how they approach this as a point against the French wouldn’t be the worst result for them.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides met twice in the UEFA Nations League earlier this year with Denmark winning 2-0 at home and 2-1 on the road. They also met in the World Cup 2018 when the teams played to a goalless draw.

France 8/10
Draw 27/10
Denmark 15/4
Suggested Bet: France win at 8/10
I think France are going to have too much for a Denmark side that has really struggled to score goals of late and were well held by Tunisia in their opening game.
