GROUP PLAYOFF UPDATE
There are still 3 teams in contention in Group C and looking at the betting Argentina are 5/10, Poland 7/4 and you can get 20/1 about Saudi Arabia. As far as the log goes Poland have 4 points ahead of Argentina and Saudi Arabia on 3 with Mexico on 1.
In terms of what each team needs to qualify, Poland need to avoid defeat against Argentina, they can go through even with a loss as long as Saudi Arabia don’t beat Mexico.
Argentina need to beat Poland to qualify and if they draw it will come down to goal difference unless Saudi Arabia beat Mexico. A loss for Argentina would see them heading home.
Saudi Arabia would qualify with a win over Mexico and they can qualify with a draw if other results go their way.
Mexico, bottom of the table, are not capable of winning the group, but they can still qualify if they beat Saudi Arabia and if Poland beat Argentina. If Argentina beat Poland then it will come down to goal difference.

POLAND v ARGENTINA
POLAND
Poland opened their campaign with a goalless draw against Mexico and they then justified 7/10 favouritism against Saudi Arabia winning 2-0 with a goal in each half.
ARGENTINA
Argentina were stunned 2-1 by Saudi Arabia in their opener despite going a goal ahead in the first-half. They came back strongly though beating Mexico 2-0, a game in which they started 11/20 favourites. Both goals came in the second-half.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides last met in a World Cup in 1978 with Argentina winning 2-0 and they then met in a friendly in 2010 with Poland winning 2-1.
