The Group A World Cup fixtures conclude on Tuesday and we take a look at the two matches from a betting angle.

ECUADOR v SENEGAL
ECUADOR
Ecuador opened their campaign with a convincing 2-0 victory over Qatar and they followed that up with a very respectable 1-1 draw against the Netherlands, a result which could have been backed at 5/2. They fell behind to a 6 minute Netherlands goal, but Enner Valencia scored the equalizer in the 49th minute.
SENEGAL
Senegal lost 2-0 to the Netherlands in their opener, they came back strongly and beat Qatar 3-1 in their next game to keep their chances very much alive. It took them till the 41st minute to open the scoring and they went 2-0 ahead in the 48th before Qatar hit back just before the 80 minute mark. Things were put to bed in the 84th minute with the 3rd goal.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
It is twenty years since the sides met in a friendly International with Senegal winning 1-0.

Ecuador 29/20
Draw 22/10
Senegal 85/40
Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 5/4
The way the log stands Senegal will have no choice, but to push for victory here and I think that despite the fact that a draw will do for Ecuador it is going to result in an open game and quite possibly with goals at both ends. Should you prefer taking that option, both teams to score, yes, is available at 19/20.

NETHERLANDS v QATAR
NETHERLANDS
Netherlands won their opening game 2-0 against Senegal before playing out a 1-1 draw against Ecuador where they took the lead early, but then conceded an equaliser early in the second-half.
QATAR
Qatar have lost both of their matches meaning they have absolutely no chance of qualifying for the playoffs. They went down 2-0 to Ecuador in their opener and then 3-1 against Senegal last time out. They were 2-0 down late in the game when they pulled a goal back to give themselves some hope, but Senegal finished the game off in the 84th minute.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides have never met in a competitive football match.

Netherlands 1/5
Draw 6/1
Qatar 13/1
Suggested Bet: First Goal Scorer, Memphis Dupay at 33/10
Given that Netherlands are such big favourites for this game I am struggling to find a bet in my usual markets and I am going to go for this First Goal Scorer play which always makes the game more exciting to watch (well at least until the 1st goal is scored) and after that I can look for an in-running play.
