There are two UEFA Champions league quarter-finals, 1st leg fixtures taking place on Wednesday and we take a look at both games from a betting angle.

AC Milan saw off Tottenham in a low scoring 2-legged encounter in the last 16. They won the home fixture 1-0 and then played out a goalless draw at Tottenham to progress to the last 8. In the group stages they won 2 and lost 1 of their home games.
They haven’t been in the best of form of late and have only won 1 of their last 6 matches across all competitions and on the weekend played out a goalless draw at home to Empoli in the League.
Napoli had few problems seeing off Eintracht Frankfurt in the last 16 winning 5-0 on aggregate. They won 5 and lost 1 of their group matches with the only defeat coming away to Liverpool.
Napoli have won 11 and lost 2 of their last 13 matches across all competitions and on the weekend they beat Lecce away in the League by 2-1.
These sides have met twice in Serie A this season with the away team winning on each occasion. Digging a bit deeper into the head-to-head stats the away team has won the last 6 meetings between the sides and given current form I was in any event leaning towards a Napoli victory here.

Real Madrid saw off Liverpool in the Round of 16 with a comfortable 6-2 aggregate win. The damage done at Liverpool in the 1st leg where they won 5-2. Looking at their home form in the Champions League this season they won all 3 of their group matches and also beat Liverpool 1-0 at home in the 2nd leg of the last 16 clash.
Real Madrid were beaten 3-2 at home by Villarreal in the League on the weekend, but prior to that they beat Barcelona 4-0 away in the Spanish Cup.
Chelsea were impressive in their Round of 16 encounter against German team Dortmund and they came back from losing the 1st leg 1-0 in Germany to win 2-1 on aggregate with a 2-0 home win in London. In the group stages Chelsea won 2 and drew 1 of their home games, but they are struggling domestically and have taken just 2 points from the last 12 they have played for in the EPL and that includes a 1-0 away defeat to Wolves on the weekend.
Real Madrid are 8/11 to win the match and although they will have memories of going out to Chelsea at the quarter-finals stage last year, I think that the home team are going to be too strong here and I am going to back them to win by more than a goal.
