The riders have moved to France from Denmark and after an early rest day are ready to tackle Stage 4 from Dunkirk to Calais, a 171.5 km route with five Cat 4 climbs scattered across the route.
STAGE 3 RECAP
Let’s first take a look back at Stage 3 when Dylan Groenewegen came home strongest of all to win an exciting sprint ahead of Woud Van Aert, Jasper Phillipsen and Peter Sagan. Stage 2 winner, Fabio Jakobsen was a bit disappointing in 5th and given there are not a lot of opportunities left for the sprinters, the teams of the fast men will be determined to make sure that today’s stage ends in a bunch finish.
JERSEY UPDATE
Nothing much to report as far as the General Classification goes with the big men all still grouped together however on the betting front, Tadej Pogacar the 11/20 favourite with Jonas Vingegaard at 7/2 and Primoz Roglic 17/4.

STAGE 4 ROUTE & PREDICTIONS
There is a flat start to the stage before we hit our first Cat 4 climb after 30 Kilometres. All of the climbs today are short and generally ranging from 1 to 1.5 kilometres with gradients ranging from 4 to 7.7 percent.
The sprint teams will be happy to let a weak breakaway go and they will keep this on a tight leash until the final 40 to 50 kilometres when I expect the speed in the field to pick up. The one hurdle that prevents this being a guaranteed bunch sprint finish is the final Cat 4 climb 900 metres at 7.5% that comes with under 15 kilometres to go. It is here that the team of favourite Wout Van Aert may try and put pressure on Sunday’s stage winner, Groenewegen who is known to be struggling on the climbs at the moment.
With the being short there is still every chance this comes back together, but after two second places my pick for the stage is Wout Van Aert. He will be suited by the final climb, but in what looks like quite a technical finish he also has the support of Christophe Laporte as a lead out man and Laporte can deposit Van Aert into the wind at just the right time.
