South Africa
South Africa take to the field for the first time since last November when they beat England by 14 points at Twickenham. That was a much needed win as they had been beaten by 4 points in France and by 3 points in Ireland. In both games they had their chances to win.
South Africa finished runners-up to New Zealand in last season’s Rugby Championship which featured home and away matches against the other 3 teams.
Australia
Australia’s last match was against Wales in November of last year and they won 39-34 in Cardiff, coming back to win the game. In other matches in their November Tour they lost to Ireland by 3 and suffered a shock 1 point loss to Italy while also going down by a point to France. They had opened their campaign with a narrow 16-15 win over Scotland.
The Wallabies could only win two of six Rugby Championship matches last year.
This will be the first match Australia play under the management of Eddie Jones and both sides have picked strong teams although South Africa have opted to split their squad with a number of their players already in New Zealand for next week’s clash against the All Blacks.
Head-to-Head
These sides met twice last year with Australia winning 25-17 in Adelaide and South Africa 24-8 in Sydney. Australia last played in South Africa in 2019 when they went down 35-17 at Ellis Park and their last game at Loftus was an 18-10 defeat back in 2016.
Handicap: South Africa -8.5
This should be a tight game, but South Africa should have what it takes to win at home and I am betting on them to win by 12 points or less.
Suggested Bet: Winning Margin, South Africa under 12.5 at 17/10

Argentina
Argentina caused something of an upset when they beat England 30-29 at Twickenham in November last year, but they failed to back that up and went down to Wales by 7 points and Scotland by 23 points.
They won 2 and lost 4 of their Rugby Championship matches last season.
New Zealand
New Zealand were pushed hard in some of their November Tour matches last year and they drew 25-25 with England at Twickenham in their final game. They beat Scotland by 8 points in a game that hung in the balance for a long time and saw off a second string Welsh side 55-23.
They won the Rugby Championship Title last season, winning 4 and losing 2 of their 6 games.
Head-to-Head
These sides met in Hamilton in New Zealand last season with the All Blacks winning 53-3, but the week before that it was the Argentina who came out on top 25-18 in Christchurch. They last met in Argentina in 2019 when New Zealand edged the game 20-16
Handicap: Argentina +13.5
The handicap for this game is set at Argentina +13.5 and if pressed that would be where I would be putting my money, but I am going to take a more aggressive approach to this one though and will bet on Argentina to upset New Zealand at odds of 6/1.
Suggested Bet: Argentina win at 6/1
