After the Gallops this past week, we saw a weekend’s racing of mixed emotions, a wet and muddy Kenilworth saw a race meeting with mind-boggling results, and at yesterday’s Greyville race meeting, racing stabilised again with the return of some form results.

Supporters of Nebraas, Billy Bowlegs, Rain In Holland, Second Base, and Puerto Manzano should be boosted by that win.
Many people often forget that there are 11 other races on the card where you have the opportunity to make money on, not overlooking the expected R20 million Pick 6 pool on offer; in other words, the Durban July Main Race card nevertheless it does promise to be an extravaganza of betting.
The gallop that impressed the nation last Thursday was the gallop of Dave The King. He left the current second favourite of the Durban July, Safe Passage, standing still when they hit the straight, it was simply unbelievable, racing legend Anthony Delpech made him the horse to beat, and his jockey Craig Zackey was in fantastic form over the weekend, winning the first races at both Kenilworth and Greyville.
Another horse that also loves Greyville is the old man Do It Again, which will be a fan favourite, especially for those people who have been at the July for the past few years; this will be his sixth July run, and one has always to remember his record in this race, he has never been unplaced, winning it twice.
