Super Rugby Pacific continues this weekend and we take a look at all of the Round 4 action from a betting angle.
Let’s start with a look at the latest Outright Betting and here we have the Blues and Chiefs trading at 39/20 joint favourites to win the trophy. The Crusaders who got off to a slow start are 27/10 and you can get 8/1 Hurricanes, 11/1 the Brumbies and 25/1 and better the balance.

FRIDAY
Hurricanes v Waratahs – Click here to bet
The Hurricanes made a brave fight back last weekend against the Blues, but ended up going down 26-19 at home. They are still well placed though having won their first two matches away at the Reds and the Rebels.
The Waratahs lost to the Rebels 34-27 in Melbourne last week and that was on the back of a convincing 46-17 victory over the Fijian Drua also in Melbourne the week before. They had taken on the Brumbies in their opening week going down by 6 points.
Handicap: Hurricanes -14.5
There is plenty of wind about in Wellington on Friday and I am going to take under 54.5 points
Suggested Bet: Under 54.5 points at 9/10

SATURDAY
Chiefs v Rebels – Click here to bet
The Chiefs have a 100% record after the first three weeks of the competition and they beat the Highlanders 28-7 at home last week. The week before in Melbourne they hammered the Moana Pasifika 52-29, but their biggest result was a way to the Crusaders in Week 1 when they came away with a 31-10 bonus point victory.
The Rebels started their Tournament against the Force in Perth and after leading deep into the match they ended up losing the game. They then hosted the Hurricanes where they put up a great fight to lose by 6 points. Last week they hosted the Waratahs and despite starting underdogs won 34-27.
Handicap: Chiefs -18.5
The Chiefs have left some of their star players out and it has me leaning towards the Rebels on the handicap.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Rebels +18.5 at 10/11
Blues v Crusaders – Click here to bet
This is the match of the weekend without a doubt and bookies are struggling to separate the sides. The Blues had hammered the Highlanders 6-20 in their opening round before getting beaten by the Brumbies 25-20 in Melbourne. They then built a convincing lead against the Hurricanes on the road last weekend before hanging on for a 6 point victory.
The Crusaders were the victims of a 16/1 ambush last week as they lost 25-24 to the Drua. They had hammered the Highlanders 52-15 in the Super Round in Melbourne and opened their campaign with a 10-31 defeat to the Chiefs at home.
Handicap: Blues -0.5
This should be a tight game and I am going for any other result in the Tri Bet Market at 16/10. For this bet to arrive either team can win the game, but by no more than 6 points.
Suggested Bet: Tri Bet, any other result at 16/10
Brumbies v Moana Pasifika – Click here to bet
The Brumbies once again look the pick of the Australian sides and they won a hard fought battle 23-17 at home to the Reds last weekend. They had stunned the Blues 25-20 in Melbourne the weekend before and also beat the Waratahs 31-25 on the road in their opening weekend.
Moana Pasifika narrowly lost a high scoring encounter to Drua in their opening game and they were then beaten by 23 points by the Chiefs in Melbourne where they were probably flattered by the score line thanks to some second-half tries. Last week they went down 21-18 to a late Force penalty and they are still searching for their first victory in the competition
Handicap: Brumbies -18.5
The game has points written all over it and I am looking for 58 or more.
Suggested Bet: Over 57.5 points at 10/11
SUNDAY
Highlanders v Western Force – Click here to bet
The Highlanders are comfortably the weakest of the New Zealand sides and they were well beaten last week by the Chiefs 28-7 in Hamilton. In the Super Round they were hammered 52-15 by the Crusaders and in their opening match they lost by 40 points at home,
The Force opened their campaign with a narrow win over Rebels, but they were absolutely thrashed by the Reds going down 71-20 in Melbourne in the Super Round. Last week they edged Moana Pasifika 21-18 thanks to a late penalty
Handicap: Highlanders -16.5
The Highlanders have been poor, but I think they will be far too strong for this Force side.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Highlanders (-16.5) at 9/10
Reds v Fijian Drua – Click here to bet
The Reds gave a good account of themselves last week in Canberra going down 23-17 to the Brumbies, very much a margin which the bookies expected. They had lost 47-13 to the Hurricanes at home in their opening match, but bounced back strongly from that to destroy the Force 71-20 in Melbourne.
The Drua pulled off the upset of the Tournament when they beat the Crusaders 25-24 with a last minute penalty in Lautoka last week. Prior to that they were well beaten by 29 points against the Waratahs in Melbourne. They came from behind to edge Moana 36-34 in Auckland in their opening match.
Handicap: Reds -13.5
The Drua are flying high and I am going to back them to score 24 points or more.
Suggested Bet: Drua over 23.5 points at 10/11
