Sri Lanka take on Ireland in Hobart in a Super 12 T20 World Cup fixture on Sunday and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.
These sides were meant to meet in the warm up to the group stages, but the game was abandoned without a ball been bowled.
Onto the group stages and Sri Lanka got off to a terrible start with a 55 run defeat to Namibia before bouncing back with a 79 run victory over the UAE and a 16 run win over the Netherlands. This was enough to get them into the Super 12 section of the tournament.
Ireland also tasted defeat in their opening fixture of the group stages going down by 31 runs to Zimbabwe, but they bounced back with a 6 wicket victory over Scotland and then a crucial 9 wicket win over the West Indies.

Sri Lanka 7/20
Ireland 9/4
Sri Lanka and Ireland have only met twice in T20 competitions with Sri Lanka winning on each occasion.
Suggested Bet: Ireland win at 9/4
Based on what I saw in the group stages there isn’t much between these sides and Sri Lanka in my opinion look vulnerable at the moment, I think taking anything above 2/1 Ireland is a value play.
Suggested Bet: Top Ireland Batsman, Paul Stirling at 5/2
Stirling heads into this game in cracking form after an impressive unbeaten 66 in the run chase against the West Indies. I am looking for a repeat performance against the Sri Lankans.
