The Sharks host the Stormers in a lone URC match this weekend and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.
Leinster remain firm favourites to win the United Rugby Championship at 5/10 with Irish rivals, Munster priced at 8/1, you can get 9/1 the Stormers and Ulster and the Blue Bulls and the Sharks are both priced at 10/1 with 20/1 and better the balance.

The Sharks moved up to 8th on the URC log after a hard fought 20-19 away victory against Edinburgh last week. Both teams were missing a number of star players and the Sharks started well, but had to come from behind to grab the win. The final minutes saw them throwing themselves into tackles as they bravely defended their line from the Edinburgh onslaught. It was an important win for the Sharks as they are now into the Quarter-Final positions and have at least 1 game in hand over all the teams above them.
The Sharks have been strong in local Derbies at home this season, beating the Lions by 27 points and the Bulls by 13.
The Stormers are 2nd on the URC log with 8 wins, 3 losses and a draw in their 12 matches. They were a bit disappointing on their travels going down 24-17 to the Glasgow Warriors and then last week they were well beaten 35-5 by Ulster, a game where they started underdogs, but received plenty of betting support at around the +10.5 level.
The Stormers have only played one SA Derby on the road this season and that was against the Lions where they won by 9 points in Johannesburg.

Sharks 4/10
Draw 25/1
Stormers 12/5
Handicap: Sharks -6.5
Suggested Bet: Half-Time / Full-Time, Sharks / Sharks at 15/20
I am expecting the Sharks to come out firing and to hold on to their lead throughout the first half and ultimately to win the match. It will be interesting to see where the Total Points Lines are priced up as matches in Durban at this time of year can be hugely affected by humidity.
