Scotland host Argentina in what should be an intriguing encounter at Murrayfield on Saturday and we suggest a bet in the game.
SCOTLAND
Scotland’s Autumn Nations Series campaign began 3 weeks ago when they lost 16-15 to Australia, missing a kick in the final minute which would have given them a victory. They were then convincing 28-12 winners against Fiji before leading New Zealand by 9 points heading into the last 20 minutes last week. In the end though they lacked the depth and possibly the temperament to finish off the All Blacks and ended up going down 31-23.
ARGENTINA
After beating England at Twickenham two weeks ago many punters were expecting Argentina to get the job done against Wales in Cardiff last week. Wales had opened marginal favourites, but by the time the match kicked off it was Argentina who were the top of the betting boards. They started well racing into a 6-0 lead, but in the end it was Wales who ran out 20-13 victors and Argentina’s inability to put impressive back-to-back performances together remains an issue heading into the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides played a 3 match Test Series in Argentina in July with the home side winning 2-1 and edging the final and deciding Test 34-31. These sides last met in Edinburgh back in 2018 with the Scots winning 14-9, at that point their 5th successive victory over Argentina.

Scotland 5/10
Draw 22/1
Argentina 39/20
Handicap: Scotland -4.5
Suggested Bet: Winning Margin, Scotland Under 12.5 points at 16/10
These sides have a history of playing close games and Argentina will be determined to bounce back from last week’s defeat to Wales while at the same time Scotland will be looking for their first win of the campaign against Southern Hemisphere opposition.
This one should be tight, but I think the Scots will edge it.
