India are hot favourites to build on their excellent opening victory against Pakistan when they take on the Netherlands in Sydney on Thursday. The fixture is understandably one-sided as far as the match betting goes, but fortunately there are plenty of other ways to bet on the game.
NETHERLANDS
The Netherlands played against Bangladesh in their opener and they won the toss and sent the opposition in to bat. They would have been happy with the performance with the ball restricting Bangladesh to 144 for 8 and Paul van Meekeren with 2 for 21 off his 4 overs was the pick of the bowlers with the wickets generally spread out amongst the attack.
The Netherlands were quickly in trouble in their innings though and not even a brilliant 62 off 48 balls from Colin Ackermann could see them home and they ended up getting bowled out for 135, 9 runs short of victory.
INDIA
India’s game against Pakistan in their opener in Melbourne has been described as one of the best T20 games of all times.
India won the toss and elected to field first and after early wickets Pakistan battled back to get 159 for 8 in their 20 overs. Most of the Indian bowlers kept things tight and Arshdeep Singh was the pick as far as top bowler punters were concerned with his 3 for 32 in 4 overs.
India’s innings also began slowly and they touched 8/1 in-running at one point, but Virat Kohli steered them home with a brilliant 82 at a strike rate of 154. The last over was as dramatic as anything you will see in the Tournament, India ended up getting the 16 runs required for victory.

Netherlands 12/1
India 1/25
Suggested Bet: Top Netherlands Batsman, Colin Ackermann at 26/10
Ackermann was the stand out for the Netherlands in their opening game and with early wickets once again likely to fall I like his chances of him leading the charge against India.
Suggested Bet: Rahul Over 27.5 runs at 17/20
Rahul went cheaply against Pakistan, but the man oozes class with the bat and I am expecting him to come back strong here. Given that the Netherlands may bat first and be bowled out cheaply I am reluctant to take this bet about batsmen further down the order.
