There is a lone DSTV Premiership match taking place on Tuesday and we take a look at the match between Marumo Gallants and SuperSport United from a betting angle.
World Sports Betting have priced up the race for second place with the market known as the “without Mamelodi Sundowns Winner”, here we have Orlando Pirates trading at 13/10 with SuperSport United at 16/10, you can get 5/2 Chiefs and 175/1 Cape Town City.

MARUMO GALLANTS
Marumo Gallants have pulled themselves out of the bottom two and currently sit 14th on the log with 3 wins and 3 draws in their last 6 matches. They came from behind to beat Chippa United 3-1 at home last time out and prior to that played a goalless draw away at Chiefs. Gallants have won 4 and drawn 6 of their 13 home matches and they have taken 10 points out of the last 12 they have played for in front of their own fans.
A stat which jumps off the page as far as Marumo Gallants PSL matches goes is that both teams have found the back of the net in their last 4 matches and 3 of those 4 games has seen 4 goals or more scored, a rarity in the PSL. Despite their last 2 home games reaching the 3 goal mark only 3 of the 13 Gallants home games have delivered profits for over 2.5 goal backers this season.
SUPERSPORT
SuperSport United are 3rd on the log level with Orlando Pirates on points, but behind on goal difference. Both teams have five matches left to play.
SuperSport were too good for TS Galaxy last time out winning 2-0, a result expected by the bookmakers though and were priced at 15/20 favourites. Their recent away form has been less impressive and they haven’t won in their last 5 away games and they have drawn 3 and lost 2. SuperSport United’s last 5 away matches have all finished with 2 goals or less in them and only 4 of their 13 matches have reached the 3 goal mark this season.
HEAD TO HEAD
SuperSport beat Marumo Gallants 1-0 at home in the reverse fixture and last season this fixture finished goalless.

Marumo Gallants 95/40
Draw 37/20
SuperSport United 14/10
I would expect SuperSport United to be too strong for Gallants, but the way that the home team are playing I am reluctant to oppose them. I am rather going to turn to the goal markets where in my opinion we are getting some great value on over 2.5 goals given the recent flood of goals in Gallants matches, this is priced at 31/20 and that is good enough to rope me in.
Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 31/20
