WSB Soccer ambassador Junior Khanye takes a look at the best of the action this weekend
Tshakuma vs Marumo Galants #NedbankCup
Marumo Galants- Win
Dan Malesela knows the game and has identified the players that are going to accommodate his philosophy, and has taken the best out of players like Ndlondlo and Ngema. Since the coach has been a part of the team, the squad has been winning and drawing games, with convincing victories.
For Tshakuma, it’s the end of the road for the team, it’s more about marketing themselves as individual players, but the standard of football is too high for them; and will do better in the Glad Africa Championship.
Sundowns vs Royal AM #Nedbankcup
Sundowns-Win/Draw
Royal AM is a very competitive team that plays beautiful football. The players are experienced too as most of the team members come from Bloemfontein Celtic as well as Kaizer Chiefs but are playing against a team that has already won the league.
Mamelodi Sundowns will approach the game professionally and will play a strong squad as all the players are quality, but Royal AM will not want to lose this match as they will want to take part in the CAF next season.
Chiefs vs Cape Town City
Cape Town City- Win
In order to win this match, Kaizer Chiefs will have to fix their change room first. I don’t think that the players respect Arthur Zwane, plus most of the players themselves are not at a level where they can take the team to glory! There are individual players that deserve to be there, but most don’t. The pressure that Arthur Zwane has also seemed to be escalating because the team has lost two matches, which points to his inexperience as a head coach, and with the supporters being allowed to enter the stadiums, it will also add to the existing pressure.
Cape Town City is going to win this match as they are a strong competitive team, which drew against a Sundowns that were looking for a win, so Arthur Zwane is no match for an experienced Dylan Tinkler.
