The TPC Deere Run in Illinois is the host course for the John Deere Classic and we take a look at the Tournament from a betting angle.
Our confidence is high going into this one after putting up Rickie Fowler at 14/1 last week and it was great to see him break a 4 year drought and take the victory.
Onto the John Deere and the Deere Run course plays to a par 71 and scores should be low much in line with what we have seen over the last few weeks. As is often the case in these birdie fests the most important club in your bag is the putter as a run of pars could see you tumbling down the leader board.

SELECTIONS
Adam Hadwin each way at 33/1
Adam Hadwin was runner-up to Rickie Fowler last week going down in the playoff and three starts back he had a Top 15 finish so he is clearly in good form. He had a couple of good performances at this track in 2015 and 2016 finishing 18th and 8th before taking a long break and missing the cut last year. I am prepared to overlook the missed cut given his current form and that last year’s winner, J.T. Poston won having missed two previous cuts and not finished in the Top 16 in four starts at the course .
I am betting Hadwin can go low again and contend for the victory.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout each way at 66/1
It has been a while since I put a South African up in these previews, but Bezuidenhout could be the business this week. He was runner-up to J.T. Poston last year and he has put in a few promising performances of late with a couple of Top 25’s in his last 6 starts. Let’s hope that as South Africans we can cheer him down the stretch this weekend.
Lucas Glover each way at 66/1
Glover has been hit and miss over the past few weeks, missing two cuts in his last 4 starts, but also getting a 20th and a 4th place finish, that 4th place finish coming last week.
Glover missed the cut here last year, but the year before that he was the Champion and prior to that he had a 10th finish and it is usually the case of contending or missing the cut for Lucas.
Patton Kizzire each way at 125/1
Kizzire was going along reasonably nicely, but has missed his last 2 cuts, but that is the reason we are getting a 125/1 for a guy who has some pretty solid course form, not finishing outside the Top 30 in 4 starts and last year he finished 16th and the year before 11th.
This Tournament looks wide open and let’s hope we have a 125/1 shot in contention on Sunday night.
