South Africa and India meet in the 3rd and deciding ODI in Delhi on Tuesday and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.
South Africa won the 1st ODI in Lucknow in a rain shortened encounter beating India by 9 runs. India though bounced back strongly last time out in Ranchi comfortably chasing down the 279 they required for victory with 25 balls and 3 wickets in hand.
South Africa had won the toss and elected to bat first and none of their batsmen truly mastered the track and they eventually reached 278 for 7 with Markram getting 79 at a strike rate of 88 and Hendricks 74 at a strike rate of 97. Siraj took 3 for 38 in his 10 overs for India and most of the bowlers put in good economical spells.
India lost a couple of wickets before they reached 50, but they ended up getting home with ease and Iyers, he top scored with 113 off 111 balls and there was also an excellent 93 from Kishan coming at a strike rate of 110. None of the South African bowlers were really put to the sword, but at the same time the Indian batsmen weren’t really troubled and it was a very much controlled run rate.

India 10/11
South Africa 10/11
Suggested Bet: South Africa win at 10/11
I am really basing this bet on the fact that South Africa need this win so much more than India. The Proteas need the World Cup Super League points in order to qualify automatically for the World Cup in India next year. A rare series victory over India would also be a feather in the cap of each of the players and I am going to back the visitors to get things right here.
Suggested Bet: Top Away Batsman, Markram at 4/1
Markram looked in decent nick in the 2nd ODI and he is a player that when in form is very hard to dismiss so hopefully he can kick on with another big score.
Suggested Bet: Top Away Bowler, Shamsi at 7/2
I am expecting Shamsi to get a start and I am expecting him to be amongst the wickets as the Indian batsmen try and get after him.
