There are 5 English Premier League matches taking place on Saturday and we take a look at each of them from a betting angle.
Let’s start with a look at the Outright Betting where Manchester City are now trading as 1/20 favourites to defend their title ahead of Arsenal at 11/1. You can get betting on that market as well at Top 4, Top 6, to be relegated and to finish bottom.

Bournemouth v Chelsea – Click here to bet
Bournemouth are currently 13th on the log and they have won 4 of their last 5 matches including beating Leeds 4-1 at home last time out.
Chelsea are in absolute freefall and sit level on points with Bournemouth, but ahead of them on goal difference in 12th spot. They haven’t won in their last 7 matches and they have lost 4 in a row, last time going down 3-1 away at Arsenal.
Chelsea beat Bournemouth 2-0 at home in the reverse fixture and the sides drew 2-2 in this fixture last season.
Chelsea are favourites for this game at 12/10, but that is based purely on past reputation. I would have to say that Bournemouth are the value here for the win.
Suggested Bet: Bournemouth win at 95/40

Manchester City v Leeds – Click here to bet
Manchester City continued their march to another title when they beat West Ham 3-0 at home last time out. They have now won their last 9 matches on the trot and lead Arsenal by a point with a game in hand and City have only 5 matches left to play.
Leeds are currently 17th on the log and have only taken 1 point from the last 15 they have played for. They were beaten 4-1 away to Bournemouth in their last start and overall on the road this season they have only won 2 and drawn 3 of 17 matches.
City beat Leeds 3-1 earlier in the season and last season they won this fixture 7-0.
City have a big Champions League game on Tuesday so I am expecting them to come out hard and put Leeds to bed early before stepping off the gas.
Suggested Bet: Manchester City to win at half time and over 1.5 goals at 14/10
Tottenham v Crystal Palace – Click here to bet
Tottenham are currently 7th on the log, but without a win in their last 4 starts and have only taken 1 point from those matches. They lost 4-3 away to Liverpool last time out and their last 8 games have all seen both teams find the net while their last 4 have all had at least 4 goals in them.
Crystal Palace are 11th on the log and have won 4 of their last 6 matches including beating West Ham 4-3 at home last time out. That high scoring match broke a run of 3 matches which would have delivered profits for under 2.5 goal backers.
Tottenham beat Palace 4-0 on the road in the reverse fixture and given there is a history of goals between these sides as well as Tottenham’s recent high scoring matches I am happy to take over 3.5 goals here just shy of 2/1.
Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 18/10
Wolves v Aston Villa – Click here to bet
Wolves are currently 14th on the log with 3 wins and 2 losses in their last 5 starts. Last time out they were hammered 6-0 at Brighton and their last home game was a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace.
Aston Villa are 8th on the log and saw a 10 match unbeaten streak ended when they went down 1-0 at Manchester United last time out. Villa’s last 3 matches have all been low scoring and delivered profits for under 2.5 goal backers.
Under 2.5 goals was a consideration for me at 7/10, but I think the value is with the visitors to grab 3 points as they were in cracking form before that Manchester United loss.
Suggested Bet: Aston Villa win at 15/10
Liverpool v Brentford – Click here to bet
Liverpool are currently 5th on the log and unbeaten in their last 7 starts in the League and they have a 100% record in their last 5 matches. They beat Fulham 1-0 at home last time out and before that beat Tottenham 4-3 with a dramatic late winner at Anfield.
Brentford are 9th on the log and recovered from a wobble of 6 matches without a victory to post back-to-back victories away at Chelsea and at home to Nottingham. They have only won 4 times in 17 road trips this season.
Brentford beat Liverpool 3-1 at home in the reverse fixture and Liverpool won this fixture 3-0 last season.
Liverpool are short priced for this game at 5/10 and given their recent record that is probably justified, but I am rather going to get involved in the goal markets here where over 2.5 goals is trading at the same price and I am going to go for the extra goal and take over 3.5 at 5/4.
Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 5/4
