There are 6 English Premier League matches taking place on Saturday and we suggest a bet in each of them.
Arsenal v Nottingham Forest – Click here to bet
Arsenal were runners-up to Manchester City last season and they picked up a Trophy last weekend when they had a penalties win in the Community Shield.
Nottingham Forest finished 16th on the table avoiding relegation fairly comfortably thanks to going through their last 4 matches unbeaten.
Arsenal won this fixture 5-0 last season and I think they will be too strong for this Nottingham side and I am going to back the home team to score 3 goals or more.
Suggested Bet: Arsenal, Totals over 2.5 goals at 17/20
Bournemouth v West Ham – Click here to bet
Bournemouth finished 15th on the log last season, limping across the line with 4 successive defeats in their last 4 matches.
West Ham were in deep trouble at one stage last season, but fought back to finish 14th, 1 point and 1 position ahead of Bournemouth.
West Ham did the double over Bournemouth last season and they have won their last 3 matches in the League scoring 10 goals without reply and I am going to back West Ham to continue their dominance.
Suggested Bet: West Ham win at 31/20
Brighton v Luton – Click here to bet
Brighton had an excellent season finishing in the Top 6 so the pressure is on them to match or even better that performance.
Luton booked their place in the English Premier League courtesy of the playoffs where they beat Coventry on penalties in the final. They had finished 3rd on the log a distant 21 points behind the winners Burnley.
There is no recent head-to-head form to go on, but based on the long-term betting markets Luton are going to struggle this season and I am going to back Brighton to win this game by more than a goal.
Suggested Bet: Brighton -1.5 at 10/11

Everton v Fulham – click here to bet
Everton narrowly avoided relegation last season finishing in 17th spot, 2 points clear of the drop. They crucially won 2 of their last 4 matches last season including their last game.
Fulham had a solid season finishing 10th, 16 points above Everton on the table. Fulham are 7/2 to finish in the top-half of the table this season – Click here to bet on Outright Markets
Fulham beat Everton 3-1 on the road last season and the reverse fixture finished goalless as well.
I am expecting a better season from Everton, but this is a fairly tough start for them and I think we are going to get a draw.
Suggested Bet: The draw at 5/2
Sheffield United v Crystal Palace – Click here to bet
Sheffield United returned to the English Premier League having finished 2nd behind Burnley in the Championship last season. They won 28 out of their 46 fixtures in the Championship with only Burnley with 29 getting more wins.
Crystal Palace finished 11th on the log, tasting defeat only once in their final 5 matches of last season.
These sides last met in the Premier League in the 2020/21 season with Crystal Palace winning at home and away 2-0.
I wouldn’t read too much into the head-to-head form as it took place a while ago, but historically meetings between these sides have been low scoring and in the last 5 matches only 1 team has found the back of the net. Without further form to go on I am going to have a play here that at least one of these teams finishes goalless.
Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, NO, at 9/10
Newcastle United v Aston Villa – Click here to bet
Newcastle were the revelations of the last season finishing 4th on the log, 4 points behind Manchester United in 3rd. They did battle a bit over the final few matches, but while not losing any of their last 4 they only won 1 of those matches.
Aston Villa had an excellent second-half of the season finishing 7th on the log, 10 points behind Newcastle and they won 2 and drew 1 of their last 3 fixtures.
The home team has won this fixture in the last 4 League meetings between the sides and I am going to back Newcastle United to take that streak to 5.
Suggested Bet: Newcastle United win at 8/10
